Collins-9Darren Collins

General Manager and Educator

Darren has been in the Adventure industry since 2003. In that time he has had a number of different businesses, starting out running a booking agency selling other companies experiences. He has also had businesses offering consultancy and business management services to the adventure / tourism industry. Since 2009 he has been running his own adventures. This has given him a unique perspective and experience of different aspects of the adventure industry.

He is also a regular volunteer at a number of animal rights and direct action groups such as Sea Shepherd, Animals Australia and Animal Aid.

“I got into this industry because I have a love for adventure, from flying planes and gliders, sailing, mountain bike riding and kayaking.

The other passion of mine is animal rights and conservation, it is very important to me that Melbourne Adventure Hub is known for its strong stance in this area and has an extremely positive impact. I love what I get to do every day, this is not just a business to me, but my purpose in life”.

Conservation Hub

Conservation Hub’s mission is to educate the next generation to build a kinder more sustainable future.

We do this by offering a range of school talks to educate students on what is happening in Australia and around the world and how their choices can help or contribute to these issues.

We also provide a range of resources for students and teachers who want to make some positive changes to help the environment and animal protection.

These programs can be run in conjunction with Melbourne Adventure Hub or as a stand alone presentation.
